The school aims to provide a place for all children whose address is within the designated area, defined as being the area within the ecclesiastical boundaries of the parishes of Alderbury, Whaddon & West Grimstead.
A full-time school place in the Reception class is available for children from the September following their 4th birthday. (i.e. children born between 01/09/2012 and 31/08/2013 will be admitted in September 2017.)
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the churches at parish and diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
Every year the governing body will review and publish information concerning the Alderbury & West Grimstead school admission policy. This will confirm the maximum number of children to be admitted to the school as a whole, the Pupil Admissions Number (PAN) which is currently 30 and explain how places will be allocated.
