We promote and establish our 3 main aims through our curriculum, planning, activities, opportunities (in and out of the classroom) and adult and peer modelling. These ‘aims’ could also be defined as our curriculum ‘drivers’ in that this school is committed to delivering these 3 aspects despite shifts and changes to the government and educational climate/landscape.
Our long, medium and short term curriculum maps and plans detail how teachers will deliver the aims in each class.
The school also ranks ‘confidence’ and ‘opportunities’ very highly and these are implicit in all we do as we shape the children who learn with us.
Friendship – Thankfulness – Service
Our 3 core Values are Christian Values at the heart. They are explicit in the teachings of Jesus and what the Bible teaches about God’s love. Below a scripture for each is provided to demonstrate the biblical basis for our values.
Friendship – Luke 6 v31
Thankfulness – 1 Thessalonians 5 v16-18
Service – Micah 6 v8
Our school is fully inclusive and part of friendship is respecting and valuing people from all faiths and beliefs, including those of no faith. Our 3 values are also secular and promote clear aspects of being a good citizen. (Welcoming in; Giving thanks and looking for the positives; Helping out). We encourage children and adults to express our 3 values in all they do, whatever their beliefs.
